My Lords, the concept of retained direct principal EU legislation is that of EU legislation that will come into UK law upon leaving the EU. This amendment will make a clarification to ensure that the same wording is used in the withdrawal Act. Just for further clarification, because I asked it myself, principal direct retained EU legislation includes minor legislation.
