UK’s Withdrawal from the EU

Debate on Thursday, 14 February 2019, in the House of Commons, led by Steve Barclay and Chris Heaton-Harris. The answering members were Keir Starmer and Peter Grant.
Motion, That this House welcomes the Prime Minister’s statement of 12 February 2019; reiterates its support for the approach to leaving the EU expressed by this House on 29 January 2019 and notes that discussions between the UK and the EU on the Northern Ireland backstop are ongoing. Amendment (a) (Jeremy Corbyn) negatived on division (306 votes to 322). Amendment (i) (Ian Blackford) negatived on division (93 votes to 315). Amendment (e) (Anna Soubry) not moved. Main question negatived on division (258 votes to 303).
