European Union (Withdrawal) Bill

Proceeding contribution from Stephen Doughty (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 16 January 2018. It occurred during Debate on bills on European Union (Withdrawal) Bill.

The bottom line is that these concerns have been raised for months. They were raised by the Welsh and Scottish Governments right at the start, when the Bill was published. The UK Government have had plenty of time to resolve things, which is why there

is such deep distrust and suspicion about their intent. Until they come up with something that actually addresses the concerns, we will continue to raise the issue.
