Justice and Home Affairs Opt-out

Proceeding contribution from William Cash (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 7 April 2014. It occurred during Debate on Justice and Home Affairs Opt-out.

There is yet another example. The Liberal Democrats and the Labour party agreed to allow the European Union (Referendum) Bill, presented by the hon. Member for Stockton South (James Wharton), to complete its passage in the House of Commons, but when it reached the House of Lords, those same two parties made certain that it would not be passed, and we now understand that the Liberal Democrats are refusing to allow a money resolution to be tabled in respect of any future Bill that may be subject to the Parliament Acts.
