Justice and Home Affairs Opt-out

Proceeding contribution from William Cash (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 7 April 2014. It occurred during Debate on Justice and Home Affairs Opt-out.

The hon. Gentleman raises the question of those people for whom the word “Europe” raises all kinds of spectres. [Interruption.] Well, he got very close to it. He is only repeating Bismarck in the late 19th century, when he said, “Whenever anybody uses the word ‘Europe’, I then realise what they are up to.”
