I thank my noble friend for the clear way in which he addressed my concerns. I say to the noble and learned Lord, Lord Goldsmith, that as soon as he got to his feet, I thought to myself, ““I hope I will never get to court and meet someone like him””, because I think I would just throw my hands up in horror and plead guilty, regardless of how innocent I was.
