Protection of Freedoms Bill

Proceeding contribution from Lord Hanson of Flint (Labour) in the House of Commons on Tuesday, 11 October 2011. It occurred during Debate on bills on Protection of Freedoms Bill.
Time is pressing because of the programme motion, which we opposed. Rather than explain why I shall support the new clause and why I ask my hon. Friends to support it, I will simply press it to a Division. Debate interrupted (Programme Order, 10 October). The Deputy Speaker put forthwith the Question already proposed from the Chair (Standing Order No. 83E), That the clause be read a Second time. The House divided: Ayes 229, Noes 319.
