It may be founded or unfounded. The hon. Gentleman interrupts from a sedentary position, and I simply say to him that some people may be surprised by who decides to go and who decides to stay. However, it is essential that the uncertainty be brought to an end. The public are entitled to reassurance that those who legislate pay tax in this country, like any other citizen. On that, we wholly support the Government. Indeed, that is why we tabled new clause 53.
