The hon. Gentleman wants to take me down a rather different byway. His own amendments will be debated soon, so I shall hold my tongue on the point that he raises, as I think that it is something of a distraction from what we are trying to achieve with the amendment before us. As I said, I do not propose to press that amendment to a Division, so I beg to ask leave to withdraw it. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
