Parliamentary Standards Bill

I will not, because I know that the hon. Member for Moray (Angus Robertson) wishes to speak. I assure the right hon. Member for Berwick-upon-Tweed (Sir Alan Beith) that we will sit down and go through what he has said about clause 10. However, let me return to my point about the Bribery Bill. There is general acceptance that prosecuting a Member of Parliament for bribery will necessitate a carve-out of elements of the Bill of Rights, and we are trying to replicate that by means of the amendments tabled by the right hon. Member for North-West Hampshire. I do not consider that the Committee should be unduly exercised, given its position on the Bribery Bill. I think that I have made my points.
