Health Bill [HL]

Proceeding contribution from Lord Faulkner of Worcester (Labour) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 6 May 2009. It occurred during Debate on bills on Health Bill [HL].
My Lords, I am most grateful to the noble Lord for allowing me to do so because he made exactly the same point in Grand Committee. On that occasion, I said that, ""the government grant to ASH is spent entirely on quit programmes and education programmes. None of the campaigning to which the noble Lord, Lord Stoddart, objects so much is funded by the Government. That comes from voluntary sources such as Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation".—[Official Report, 11/3/09; col. GC 467.]"
