Borders, Citizenship and Immigration Bill [HL]

This would remove the exemption from the prohibition of disclosure of personal customs information where the information was obtained by means other than exercising customs or customs revenue functions. The definitions are in Clause 36. We are concerned that the transfer of functions to officials allowed by Part 1 blurs the appropriate boundaries for the sharing of information around government departments. I beg to move.
