Offender Management Bill

I am grateful for the wholly constructive support from all around the Chamber for the amendment. I find the Minister’s reply slightly disappointing. He refers to arrangements being in hand for liaison, and so forth. The purpose of the amendment is to see that enshrined in the Bill. We shall go back to the Magistrates’ Association on this, and it is very likely that we shall revisit the matter later in our consideration of the Bill. In the mean time, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
