UK Borders Bill

Proceeding contribution from Liam Byrne (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 9 May 2007. It occurred during Debate on bills on UK Borders Bill.
Precisely. That is why, under the 2003 Act, it is possible for victim liaison officers to disclose information about whether a deportation has been effected and, when a decision has been made, what that decision will mean, as well as, if someone is released on bail, the sort of conditions that are attached to that. If my hon. Friend the Member for Stafford will permit me, I should like to explore whether those arrangements are working in practice or whether they need to be improved.
