Serious Crime Bill [HL]

Proceeding contribution from Baroness Scotland of Asthal (Labour) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 25 April 2007. It occurred during Debate on bills on Serious Crime Bill [HL].
My Lords, it may be that because the noble and learned Lord, Lord Lloyd, was speaking the noble Baroness naturally assumed that we were dealing with intercept. We will be dealing with it later. These offences are restricted to serious crimes but do not include terrorism. The terrorism legislation is separate and apart from this. I know that the noble Baroness will, if the noble and learned Lord has his way, have an opportunity to assist the House with her views on intercept in due source.
