Statistics and Registration Service Bill

The Minister has gone some way to meeting the substance of the amendment. I concede that it is not well drafted. It would be wrong in principle for there to be a representative, but that was the best way I could find in a hurry of expressing the point. If I could have found a clause structured in exactly the same way as those for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, I might have done better. I may well try again and return to the matter at a later stage. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. [Amendments Nos. 6 and 7 not moved.]
