Freedom of Information (Amendment) Bill

There is a wish on the part of the usual channels to make the Bill pass into law. My Government brought in the Freedom of Information Act 2000—all tribute to them for that; the previous Government had refused to do so. However, there is a suspicion that the Government are collaborating with the right hon. Member for Penrith and The Border (David Maclean), who has introduced this private Member’s Bill.
