Offender Management Bill

Proceeding contribution from Paul Farrelly (Labour) in the House of Commons on Wednesday, 28 February 2007. It occurred during Debate on bills on Offender Management Bill.
Does my hon. Friend recognise that a number of us who voted against Second Reading and for an amendment this afternoon work closely with our probation services and are genuinely concerned about how the knee-jerk privatisation of part of the service will follow through to improving offending rates? We have not heard that argument made.
