Welfare Reform Bill

I thank all noble Lords who have spoken on this amendment. I never realised it would give rise to such a wide debate as it has. I think this will become very important in the future because of the new duty that I mentioned, which of course is part of the new Disability Discrimination Act. As Pathways is rolled out over the country, I think people will be very concerned, if they offer help in the way that I suggested, if nothing is done. I was not clear whether the Government were prepared to look at this again. I wonder if I could ask for an assurance whether they might be prepared to have a look at this before the next stage of the Bill, otherwise we will have to come back to it, having examined what the Minister has said.
