Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Bill

I am grateful for the fact that we have addressed this concern today. I thank the noble Lord, Lord Hunt, for his support and for his succinct point that the bar for prosecution would still be very high. I should like to consider what the Minister said in his short and clear response to my noble friend’s point about the driver of, for example, a fire engine. The noble Lord, Lord Hunt, said that there were too many lawyers in this place. I do not necessarily go along with that; but not having a lawyer’s mind, I would like to consider what has been said and look forward to further discussion on Report.
