I may want to come back to the Minister on the threshold charge when he has finished his remarks on it. I wanted to emphasise the point about post-charge interviews. We made it clear that human rights law presents no obstacle to the relaxation of the current restriction, not just on post-charge questioning but on drawing adverse inferences. We recommended positively that the Home Office should amend the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 to achieve both those objectives.
