Animal Welfare Bill

Proceeding contribution from Lord Rooker (Labour) in the House of Lords on Wednesday, 24 May 2006. It occurred during Debate on bills and Committee proceeding on Animal Welfare Bill.
They are considered under the Bill whether they are farmed or wild, but the noble Baroness raises a separate issue relating to disease control, prevention and registration. I shall make it my business to find out about that and report back. It is ancillary to the Bill. Those animals are covered equally in respect of the Bill but that is not the point. The point that the noble Baroness raised is a separate one about arrangements for disease control and the location of livestock.
