Animal Welfare Bill

Proceeding contribution from Lord Rooker (Labour) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 23 May 2006. It occurred during Debate on bills and Committee proceeding on Animal Welfare Bill.
I have never had the privilege of going to Crufts. I understand that working dogs take part but basically they are shown for exhibition. They are not shown for their training. Obviously there will be borderline cases but it is not intended to allow people to get round this provision so that tails can be docked for exhibition purposes.
