Violent Crime Reduction Bill

I am grateful for the support from the noble Lord, Lord Thomas of Gresford, and to the Minister for his attempts to explain the reasonableness of his case. However, we are unconvinced by the explanation and still have a problem. Take, for instance, a really respectable and upmarket wine merchant’s that happens to be in a disorderly zone. That is really a victim of a postcode lottery which requires recognition. We shall study carefully what the Minister has said, but we will probably come back to this on Report. In the meantime, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment, by leave, withdrawn. Amendment No. 65 not moved.
