I was going to say that I was concerned not only that money would be clawed back but also that the primacy of the local electoral register would be undermined. I can see circumstances in which a national organisation with a wonderfully efficient, functioning computer database that never makes any mistakes and operates perfectly might well offer the service for local authorities and slowly the function will be transferred to national level. However, having expressed my suspicion, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment on this occasion, but this is a matter about which we need to think further.
Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
