I was pretty convinced by the Minister’s arguments on Amendment No. 25. It seemed that she again confirmed one of the matters that we discussed at the beginning of our proceedings today; that is, that the local electoral registers are the basic documents and that the national database is on top of them, sharing the information that is appropriate. I think that we established that principle at the beginning of our discussions today. If that is the case, what she said is probably right. I will read it carefully.
As far as Amendments Nos. 22 and 23 are concerned, I will quit while I am winning. I beg leave to withdraw Amendment No. 22.
Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
