We are still trying to get some clarity on this situation. We are creating an important piece of legislation, which I am sure future electoral legislation can be built on. Some of us do not quite get the clarity of it. The Minister has tried to explain it very well—we have just had an exchange, and neither of us are legal people. It is important that, as lay people, we understand what we are doing—obviously more important for her, as the Minister trying to sell it to us—because the public have got to understand it as well. There are still some areas that need clarity.
One thing I should have mentioned on Amendment No. 13—which is why we got confused—is that, like the Minister, we are concerned that the information on the marked register should not be added to the co-ordinated online record of electors. It is possible to buy the register in electronic form, and we are well aware that the political parties have access to the marked register in electronic form after the election, but we do not necessarily want to see that online. Does the Minister have a comment on that?
