If I rise with some hesitation, it is because I am all too well aware that the question raises a range of legal implications. I am insufficient as an expert on these matters and nowhere near the Committee on the Company Law Reform Bill that is now going through this House. Therefore, I cannot directly answer the noble Lord’s question.
However, I am answerable to structures with regard to the project. I seek to emphasise that we have thought seriously about them and they are consequent on our responsibilities to the International Olympic Committee. I also want to assure all Members of the Committee that the structures also provide necessary accountability to the Secretary of State, to Parliament and to the people of this country.
