Yes, that entirely answers the first part. I tabled the amendment in the main to listen to the noble Baroness’s reply. I will think on it, but I cannot think of any practical way of taking it forward. However, I should be grateful for a reply on subsection (2). The Minister raised that in her letter to me and implied that the countryside ought to be full of notices excluding liability for slipping down slopes, of which there are plenty of precipitous ones surrounding me. It is ridiculous that landowners should be liable if people are injured as a result of taking exceptionally obvious risks—risks that cannot be removed by the landowner in any sensible way.
