I would have assumed—I may be wrong—that such a discrepancy would be deemed significant. As I said earlier, it would be the sort of thing that you would obviously want to take up with the person concerned. My understanding of the situation is that the Data Protection Act itself provides for circumstances like those, so it would be only right that that person was advised and told. We owe it to those who are part of the whole scheme to ensure that they are told when those things happen.
