I hate to hold up proceedings but the Minister talked about the very important issue of the meaning of consent and gave her view on what the word means in common law. Have the Government checked that this is all right in Scots law as well? It is such a crucial point and one on which Scots law could differ. I am not a lawyer, so I have no idea whether that is a valid question. If the Minister has not checked, perhaps she could drop me a note on that.
