I support what my noble friend has said. A failed connection between the Blaenau Ffestiniog to Llandudno Junction line and the Holyhead to Euston line is the type of thing that happens. It happened last week, when the train from London to Crewe was too late for the connection to Llandudno Junction. It was only 16 seconds late, but by that time the connecting train to north Wales had gone. There is not enough ““give”” to ensure that connections are possible. Such services are not like those in London, where there is a bus every five minutes or a service every two minutes on the Underground. We must look at this problem because sometimes trains will be slightly late, and there should be an opportunity to catch a reasonable train soon after arriving at Crewe, Chester, Llandudno Junction or wherever.
