In responding to the debate, which has been short but very useful, I should say that I appreciate the support of the noble Lord, Lord Inglewood. This is a simple statement of how it is possible to become more effective as a commons association. As the noble Baroness said, this may not be the appropriate place, particularly for voluntary commons associations, but none the less, it is a form of guidance for commons associations to become more effective. Perhaps a few of them may wish, for reasons stated, to become statutory commons associations. Information about guidance and consultation of this nature may well appear in regulations; I do not know. But I think it should be drawn to the attention of commons associations that they are able to move forward efficiently and effectively and be, perhaps, slightly better organised. I beg leave to withdraw the amendment.
Amendment, by leave, withdrawn.
