I am most grateful to my noble friend for his response on all the amendments. On the time period, as he rightly said, ““three years or more”” can mean anything. I think that the commons registration authorities, particularly in Powys, will need to know the target in order to get the register right before moving on after the transitional period. I hope very much that my noble friend will have another look at what was, as he said, a rather vague answer and come back with something more specific.
I know that the noble Duke wants to comment on this amendment, but perhaps I may respond on farm business tenancies. I am very glad to hear that my noble friend will have a look at that, because it is a problem. I look forward to receiving his letter.
