Identity Cards Bill

In the sense of a loyalty card, no, there is not. But I think that people will see benefits in a national identity card. I think that they already are. One of the primary benefits is that it will underpin and underline a person’s sense of confidence and security in their identity, a point which has been ably made at different times by both sides of the Committee.
