Identity Cards Bill

I thank the noble Lord. The truth is that EU citizens do not have to surrender their own national cards when they come here. However, they will be eligible for a UK card if they are resident here, but it will not show nationality. They will have an ID card that they can use; it will identify them and it will have the ability to contain their addresses, but it will not show their nationality.
