Unless I am completely mistaken, the Countryside Council for Wales is the statutory adviser to the National Assembly for Wales, and I believe that, following the passage of a certain Bill before your Lordships, Natural England will be the statutory adviser to the Secretary of State, so I do not see the purpose of the noble Lord’s amendment. If the Government, Secretary of State or the National Assembly wish to call for advice from Natural England or the Countryside Council for Wales, they will do so, and therefore I do not see why this proposal should be on the face of the Bill.
