As a former MP for Radnorshire, and knowing the noble Lord and the exact site of his common, I support his remarks. The situation that he described applies to a number of commons in Wales. It is extremely important that the ownership of a common is registered as of right and that there is clear evidence of it. The amendments would clear up a lot of the anomalies in other places that I know.
