Racial and Religious Hatred Bill

Proceeding contribution from Lord Lucas (Conservative) in the House of Lords on Tuesday, 11 October 2005. It occurred during Debate on bills on Racial and Religious Hatred Bill.
My Lords, it is a criticism of the religion. If you say that a religion is hateful, it follows, as the noble Lords, Lord Plant and Lord Sutherland, and I said, that you are also saying that the people who practise it are hateful. One cannot distinguish between the two.
