Fire Safety Bill

Lords report stage. Government new clause, after clause 2: (Risk based guidance about the discharge of duties under the Fire Safety Order), discussed with a Government amendment, agreed to. New clause (Duties of owner or manager) agreed to on division (269 votes to 250). New clause (Application of the Fire Safety Order to short-term lettings premises) debated and withdrawn. New clause (Public register of fire risk assessments) agreed to on division (284 votes to 267). New clause (Prohibition on passing remediation costs on to leaseholders and tenants) agreed to on division (275 votes to 262). Government amendment to clause 3 concerning their new clause, agreed to. Clause 3 agreed to. Other amendments debated and withdrawn, or not called. Bill, as amended, ordered to be printed (HL Bill 153).
