Pensions Bill

Proceeding contribution from Baroness Sherlock (Labour) in the House of Lords on Monday, 16 December 2013. It occurred during Debate on bills and Committee proceeding on Pensions Bill.

I thank my noble friend. I think that when the Minister comes to read Hansard, he may notice that I asked him to confirm that its value would not change and I am sure that he meant to clarify the level rather than the value. One of the reasons is that, since they came to power, the Government have frozen the maximum level at which savings credit can be

obtained. I wonder whether they intend to carry that on, in which case would we find that its value did, in fact, diminish.
