Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, with reference to the debate on Contact in Care Settings on 27 October 2022 col 494, when he expects the work commissioned on steps to guarantee the right to maintain contact in care settings to conclude.

Answer

The Government’s guidance states that every resident should be able to have at least one visitor in all circumstances. We are reviewing a range of options to avoid instances where residents are unable to receive visitors.
