Question

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether his Department has updated statistics on the number of women affected by the breast cancer screening failure who subsequently died since his oral statement to the House on that matter of 2 May 2018; and if he will make a statement.

Answer

Work is ongoing between NHS Digital and Public Health England to refine the statistics of the number of women affected by serious issues with the NHS Breast Screening Programme. The Secretary of State will provide an update by the end of May when this work is completed.
