Question

To ask Mr Chancellor of the Exchequer, pursuant to the Answer of 5 March 2018 to Question 130335, what proportion of Vehicle Excise Duty is to be allocated to the proposed new Roads Fund from 2020-21 onwards.

Answer

As Vehicle Exercise Duty is a UK wide duty, an English share of VED revenues will be allocated to the road fund. The Scottish Government, Welsh Government and Northern Ireland Executive will receive Barnett consquentials on this funding in the usual way.
