My Lords, we are still on powers of entry. This is a small, technical group of government amendments to Clauses 45 and 47 and Schedule 9 to ensure that the Secretary of State’s order and code-making powers in the powers of entry provisions and the new order-making power inserted into the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act—RIPA, as we have called it this afternoon—may make provision in respect of a transferred matter in relation to Northern Ireland, where such a provision is ancillary to reserved or excepted matters.
