I commend the Minister for the visit that he made to the Metropolitan police, but his assurances this afternoon go nowhere near far enough. Since his visit to the Metropolitan police, has he had a chance or has his right hon. Friend the Home Secretary had a chance to talk to the Prime Minister about the matter? On 11 August, when Parliament was recalled, I asked the Prime Minister to consider delaying or preferably cancelling the new provisions, particularly in relation to relocation. The Prime Minister said:"““I will certainly look very carefully and closely at what he says.””—[Official Report, 11 August 2011; Vol. 531, c. 1074.]"
I have not had a chance to speak to the Prime Minister about that, but I am sure the Minister has. Will he update us?
