European Union Bill

Proceeding contribution from Lord Lea of Crondall (Labour) in the House of Lords on Thursday, 23 June 2011. It occurred during Debate on bills on European Union Bill.
I thank the Minister for his reply. I will say for the record that I am taking it from what he has said that we will not have a blinkered or blindfolded ping-pong on the basis of asserting the primacy of the House of Commons. I hope not to be disabused of this but, reflecting on what the noble Baroness, Lady Williams of Crosby, has just said, I hope that these things will be considered very carefully. We are a mature democracy and there is a lot of mature thinking in this House. On that basis, I beg leave to withdraw the amendment. Amendment withdrawn. Motion Moved by
