European Union Bill

Clause 18 can be read simply as a historical fact. It does not give continuing force to the sovereignty of Parliament. It states:"““It is only by virtue of an Act of Parliament that directly applicable or directly effective EU law…falls to be recognised and available in law in the United Kingdom.””" That is a historical fact, and can be relegated as no more than that.
