Armed Forces Bill

Proceeding contribution from Chris Bryant (Labour) in the House of Commons on Monday, 10 January 2011. It occurred during Debate on bills on Armed Forces Bill.
The hon. Gentleman is chuntering away, but if he waits until I have made my point, he can respond afterwards. My concern is that just because there is a correlation between two sets of statistics that does not necessarily mean that there is a causation. In other words, just because there may be a higher or lower proportion of former members of the armed forces in prison, that does not necessarily mean that it was because they were in the armed forces that they went to prison.
