Academies Bill [Lords]

Proceeding contribution from Guy Opperman (Conservative) in the House of Commons on Monday, 19 July 2010. It occurred during Debate on bills on Academies Bill [Lords].
I accept my hon. Friend's point that the SEN argument developed as time moved on from the starkness of the conversation that took place in the House of Lords on 7 June, 23 June and 26 June. The development in the Bill's special educational needs provisions will improve the situation in academies in respect of children's individual capabilities. Without question, the Bill takes things forward. There is great scope and need for this change, and I urge the House to consider it favourably.
